What is PrimeView Player?
PrimeView Player is a personal media server player for iPhone, iPad, and Mac. It connects to your own media server so you can enjoy your content anywhere.
How do I connect to my media server?
Open the app and enter your media server URL on the login screen. The URL is provided by your media server provider and typically looks like http://yourserver.com/...
Why can't I connect to my server?
Make sure your server URL, username, and password are correct. Check that your internet connection is active and that your media server is online. If the issue persists, contact your server provider.
Video won't play or keeps buffering — what do I do?
Try switching between players in Settings → Player. You can also try reducing your server's stream quality if your internet connection is slow. Restarting the app can also help.
How do I change subtitles or audio tracks?
While a video is playing, tap the screen to show controls and then tap the subtitles/audio icon in the bottom bar.
Does the app work on Apple TV?
PrimeView Player currently supports iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Apple TV support is not available at this time.
Is my data private?
Yes. PrimeView Player does not host any content and does not collect your viewing data. Your server credentials are stored securely on your device. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
